On leaving school, I started working in landscaping. It is a job I really enjoy and I now have over 10 years’ experience working within the industry. I started working for A.P. Broome Landscapes in June 2017 in the MAC Contracts (Maintenance And Civils) Department. We were working on the Blackburn-with-Darwen Contract. I am really enjoying working with a great team and we are now working on some really prestigious jobs, like the new Miller Homes development at Chorley and Catterall sites. A.P. Broome encourage us to grow with the company and provide us with the correct tools, experience and training to carry out all our jobs to the best of our abilities. Employee Perspective – Roger Garnett – Yard Foreman
I started working with AP Broome in October 2017, after spending all my life working alongside my family in the milk delivery business. I first met Tony in 2004 and we have always had a good relationship as our business was located right next door to A.P. Broome's. Actually Tony bought the premises off my dad and since then has gone from strength to strength. In September 2017 we sold the milk delivery business. But after working all my life and getting up very early to do the milk round, I really wanted another job that gave me the opportunity to learn something new and give me a challenge. Since starting at A.P. Broome as the yard foreman, I was given responsibility of looking after the plant and machinery that is issued to the operational staff for their daily jobs.
